Manchester United manager Dutchman Louis van Gaal coach
warned his international Argentine midfielder Angel Di Maria that it is
imperative to
change himself if he wants to establish his feet in "Old
Trafford".
Manchester contracted with de Maria, for around 75 million
euros last summer from Real Madrid but his level dropped despite his stunning
start with the team.
Since being sent off in the match against Arsenal last March
Di Maria did not participate in any match from the start and his eight
appearances came from the bench since then.
Di Maria admitted himself that his experience in the Premier
League were not as expected, vowing to do his utmost for the development with
Manchester.
Van Gaal said at a news conference: "The players should
adapt to the philosophy, and Di Maria also has to do so."
"he can certainly do that, because any player can do it,
but it is important that he has the internal desire to it." Van Gal
He continued: "old mistakes are repeated so the
behavior change is not easy and we have to wait to see."
Van Gaal concluded his speech by saying: "It is not
that Di Maria does not have the competence, but he has to play the way we want,
not the way I want, but we want as a club."
