Rudi Garcia: I deal with the Coaching of Roma like an eternal position

The artistic manager of Roma Club Rudi Garcia some reports speaking about his approaching of training the team of his country France, confirming that he would deal with his new position as artistic manager of Roma as eternal position.

Marcelo Bielsa Biography

Marcelo Alberto Bielsa Caldera was born in July 21, 1955. He is former football player and current coach of Athletic Bilbao, Bielsa played as defender then in his coaching career, he coached many clubs and national teams of Argentine and Chile.

Bielsa retired from playing football in 1980 to turn to his new career in training, so his first assignment was with the Newell’s Old Boys youth team, and after his success in training it he was given the task of managing Newell’s first team, Bielsa led them to win in 1990 Torneo Apertura and then in 1990-91 Torneo Integracion defeating Boca Juniors in Penalties.

Early Years of Marcelo Bielsa:

When Bielsa was a child, he supported Newell’s Old Boys instead of Rosario Central; Bielsa broke tradition of his family, which steeped in politics and law, by dedicating his life to the football.

Bielsa vocation was in stark contrast to that of his family where his sister Maria Eugenia is a former vicegoverner of Santa Fe province, while his brother Rafael is a politician and national deputy of the capital distinct of Buenos Aires.

Bielsa played as defender in Newell’s Old Boys but he retired at the age of 25. And then he turned his career to coaching where he led Newell’s Old Boys to several wins during 1990s, to move then to Mexico where there he coached briefly Club Atlas and Club America. Then he returned back to coach Velez Sarsfield in Argentine.

The argentine national team:

Bielsa became the manager of Espanyol in 1998 but he left the team after receiving an offer to take the task of the Argentine team.

So he led them to qualify for the World Cup 2002 but they did not go through the first round, and he continued in his task getting a second chance, so he led them to win the 2004 Copa America. In 2004 Bielsa resigned from his task to become Jose Pekerman the new Argentine Manager.

The Chilean national team:

Bielsa led the Chilean team to qualify to the World Cup 2010, and he resigned in February 2011. He achieved good results and in the same time bad once.

Athletic Bilbao:

He became the coach of Athletic Bilbao and he led them to reach to the final of the EUFA where they faced Atletico Madrid, but they lost 3-0 on May 2012, and then they lost the Copa Del Ray final in front of Barcelona in Vicente Calderon, Madrid 3-0.
