Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho confirmed that the former Chelsea
player Frank Lampard, who left the "Blues" this summer, and he moved
on loan from New York City to Manchester City cannot be compensated.
Mourinho said, in a dialogue across the channel, "PT
Sport" conducted with Rio Ferdinand's new signing from Manchester United
to Queens Park Rangers: "We need to contract with Fabregas to develop
plans to play in the midfield, but we cannot say that he will compensate for
the space left by Lampard ".
The Portuguese coach added: "Fabregas is a great
player, but Lampard is unique, and we will find a statue in his days at Chelsea
along the lines of club as the legend Peter Osgood."
Mourinho turns to talk about the Premier League, saying:
"the competition will be very strong for what I found when I came to
England 10 years ago, because Manchester City did not have the financial ingredients
to him currently available, as well as Tottenham becomes more powerful than
ever before."
And Special One completed: "Now there is competition
between the 5 or 6 clubs to win the title and qualify for the Champions
League."
It is noteworthy that Jose Mourinho led Chelsea to win the
first title 50 years ago, when he took responsibility for the first time
2005/2004 season, but in his second term, finished last season in third place
after Manchester City's defending champions, and runners-up Liverpool.
