Malcolm George “Malky” Mackay is
a Scottish former football player and current manager of Cardiff City; he was
born in February 19, 1972. As player Malky started his career in Scotland with
Queen’s Park and Celtic. Then Malky moved to the English side in 1998 with
Norwich City club, where he stayed there for six years. With Norwich, West Ham,
and Watford, Malky achieved consecutive promotion to the Primer League, and it
was between 2003 and 2006. Malky was
last played for Watford and he retired in 2008 to start his new career in management
in 2009. So his fist signing was with Cardiff City in June 2011.

Early life:
Malky started his playing career
from his native Scotland where he played through the youth ranks of Queen’s
Park, to move then to Celtic in 1993. He appeared with Glasgow club in 46 appearances
during 5 years to move then to England in 1998 and joined Norwich City.
Norwich City:
In the 2003-2004 seasons his team
Norwich promoted to the Primer League, but he was released at the end of the
season.
West Ham:
Mackay moved to West Ham in
September 10, 2004. So he reached with West Ham to play-offs, by defeating
Preston North End in the final of the Primer League.
Watford:
Mackay joined Watford and he
became part of Aidy Boothroyd plan for building his team. SO he scored some
vital goals and showed some of his defensive displayed, so at the end of
2005-2006 season his team achieved promotion to the Primer League by beating
Leeds United 3-0 in the play-off final.
Mackay appeared in 14 games in the
Primer League in 2006-2007.
International career:
During his joining to Norwich,
Mackay became at the age of 32 the oldest man to make debut in 32 years for
Scotland. With Scotland Team Malky got
five caps during his playing with it.

Watford:
Mackay became the manager of
Watford after resigning of Brendan Rodgers in June 2009. So the League was too
hard for him because the team was under thread but Mackay could to survive his
team and the team finished the season in 14th place in the league.
Cardiff City:
He moved to Cardiff City and
signed a contract for three-years on June 17, 2011. Mackay led his new team to
their first ever League Cup final, but they lost in front of Liverpool in the
Wembley final by reults3-2 penalties with a 2-2 scoreline after extra time. He
was nominated for LMA Champions Manger of the year in May 21, 2013.

Mackay is married from Pamela , and he has two young
children . the father of Mackay was a former football player where he played as
striker and also he has same name’s son Malky Mackay. Malky Mackay family were supporters
of the Queen’s Park .
