Paul Lambert Biography

He is a Scottish former player and current manager of Aston Villa. Paul Lambert was born in August 7, 1969. Paul Lambert won a lot of honours when he was a player like the Scottish Cup with St. Mirren at the age of 17, the UEFA Champions League with Borussia Dortmund, 40 caps for Scotland, and all the Scottish domestic honours with Celtic.
From his best results as manager is his succeeding in leading Norwich City into Primer League with good promotions in 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.

Playing career of Paul Lambert:

St. Mirren:
Paul won his first medal when he was playing in St. Mirren at the age of 17 in 1987. Lambert stayed in St. Mirren for eight years.

Motherwell:
Paul Lambert signed with Motherwell in September 1993, so the team finished 3th place in the Scottish League of 1993-1994 season. In the next year 1994-1995 they qualified for the UEFA Cup and finished their season runners-up.

Borussia Dortmund:
Paul Lambert signed with Borussia in 1996 after his good performance in the match which was between the two teams in the UEFA Cup. So he was promoted by the coach and the club together. In 1997 he played as midfielder in the match between Borussia and Juventus in the final of the UEFA Champions League final , Paul was his mission is to monitor Zinedine Zidane, and he succeeded in doing that , so Dortmund won by 3-1 , and Paul Lambert was man of the match . Paul became the first Scottish player who won the UEFA cup with non UK team. He scored just one goal during his playing with Dortmund against Werder Bremen.

Celtic:
Paul moved to Celtic in 1997, so he won there four Scottish Primer Leagues, two of them Scottish Cups, and two Scottish League Cups.

International career of Paul Lambert:
 
Paul was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in November 15, 2009 according to his performance for the Scottish national team.

Managerial career of Paul Lambert:

Livingston:
Paul studied football coaching in 2005, and then he started his first coaching career through Livingston in June 1, 2005. He was registered as player according to cover the injuries of the team in that time. But he was sacked by the team according to the poor results where he won just two games since starting his job.

Wycombe Wanderers:
Paul Lambert signed with Wycombe Wanderers in June 30, 2006. So he led the team for the semi-final of the League Cup. They lost in front of Chelsea in the way leg. But he resigned as coach of Wycombe on May 20, 2008.

Colchester United:
Paul signed with Colchester United in October 9, 2008. And then he left the team after his big win over Norwich City 7-1.

Norwich City:
He signed with Norwich after his big win over it when he was a coach of Colchester, so he led the team to reach the league 1 title and to promote them for the Championship in April 2010.
He stayed in Norwich until 2012 after Norwich’s survival in the Primer League 2011-2012, and then he resigned on May 31, 2012.

Aston Villa:
He signed with Aston Villa in June 2, 2012; he led the team to finish the season in the 15th place.
