Czech coach Michel Bilek resigned
after a 2-1 loss to Italy in a World Cup qualifier to fade almost his country's
hopes of qualifying for next year's finals in Brazil.
And Czech journey tumble in the
playoffs under the leadership of Belek, where not only overcomes Malta,
Armenia, failed to find the net in most matches the second set.
Bilek said in a statement,
"I did not realize the goal that we have set for ourselves, so I offer my
resignation."
The Bilek was not popular among
the masses due to a series of unconvincing results and his plans to play
conservative, but had some success when he led the Czech Republic to reach the
quarter-finals in the 2012 European Championship held in Poland and Ukraine.
The former midfielder - who has
scored 11 goals in 35 international appearances and participated in the 1990
World Cup - had assumed the responsibility of training of the Czech Republic
four years ago after the team failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup.
Although some of the problems
encountered him at the beginning of the journey Bilek maintained good Czech
record of qualifying for every European Championship since the separation of
the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993.
In Tuesday's match against Italy
in Turin Czech appeared to be on its way to achieving a surprise to revive its
hopes in the qualifying campaign after it made in order without a response
until the beginning of the second half.
But Italy scored two goals within
three minutes to qualify for the World Cup and the Czech remainder is four
points behind Bulgaria, which occupies the second place in the group.
The Czech stuck at nine points
from eight games and has become very weak chances to reach the European
Supplement.
The Czech Federation of Football
said that he may choose Bilek assistants to lead the team in his last two games
in the playoffs before hiring a permanent coach.
