Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti
said today that any player did not leave the club without having the desire to
do so, in reference to the departure of the German Mesut Ozil to Arsenal.
During a press conference held
ahead of a meeting with Real Madrid against Villarreal on Saturday in the
fourth round of La Liga, Ancelotti revealed that Ozil did not accept the
competition that he will face this season with all of Isco Alarcón and Gareth
Bale to ensure a place in the starting line-up for the team.
He added: "I've heard a lot
about this issue many speak about for me, the reason behind his departure is a
lack of confidence, knowing that Ozil participated as a key in all the games
except one game."
Ancelotti expressed his
conviction by the existing players at Real Madrid without any regret to the
departure of Ozil, noting that players will fight for the coronation of various
tournaments during the season.
As the coach said: "I will
not leave any player from Real Madrid, if he does not have the desire to do so.
Competition on his place in the field with Isco and Bale, who joined the club
recently made him think that he will face a lot of competition and asked to leave."
Ancelotti explained that the sale
of Ozil was good so the player wishes to leave as the club also received a good
offer worth 66 million euros.
Ancelotti spoke also for the
departure of Kaka to Milan where the player said that he wanted to leave because
he did not feel comfortable with the team he wanted to play for a few minutes
more.
He added that the return of Kaka
to Milan is a good thing because he knows the atmosphere of the club who played
in the ranks in the past, expressing the hope that some good plays with AC
Milan in which it will feel more comfortable.
