The president of Manchester City football on Friday Said
that he appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their new coach for his team to succeed
Italian Roberto Mancini article.
Pellegrini 59-year-old was set coach of Manchester City and
runners Premier League expected after the Chilean coach said last month that he
had reached a verbal agreement with the English club after leaving work with
the Spanish Malaga.
And City last May sacked Mancini after the team finished
second in the League and FA Cup.
The Chilean coach said through his new site on the Internet,
"I'm glad I got this wonderful opportunity. The Club has a clear vision
for success on the pitch and off the pitch, and I am committed to contribute
effectively to that.
Pellegrini added saying "everything at Manchester City
is set to continue to achieve success and I am happy to be able to work with
this talented team and with the executive team and Board of Directors ... in order to please fans of the club known
for his large supporting."
Pellegrini, who previously trained Real Madrid and
Villarreal and now to the team which belongs his owners to Abu Dhabi and has
huge financial resources after failing to defend the Premier League title them
won in 2012.
City also lost in the FA Cup final against Wigan Athletic,
who were relegated from the Premier League immediately afterwards what
precipitated the departure of Mancini's team as well as out of the group stage
of the Champions League before that.
And expectations are waiting Pellegrini in City high after
club's chief executive Ferran Soriano said last month that the club wants to
win five titles in the next five years.
Pellegrini is known for his ability to build teams capable
of providing good football based on possession of the ball which is
commensurate with the way the manner in which the City sought to be applied in
recent years.
