Coach for the Turkish team
Galatasaray Fatih Terim Said that the rival Real Madrid in the group stage
Champions League is a strong candidate to qualify.
Terim said at a news conference
on the eve of the meeting in front of the Real in Istanbul "We are in the
group stage. If we can harvest 10 or 12 points will be big chances to qualify,
but far from the accounts have to play every game to the highest level."
Turkish coach highlighted the
capacity of his team, especially when playing at home, pointing to the need to
exploit the land workers and the public to skip the group stage.
He said "we play very well

The second group comprises along
with Real Madrid and Galatasaray both Juventus and Copenhagen.
On the other side , the Turkish
team Galatasaray striker Star Didier Drogba
confirmed on Monday evening, his desire to repeat the victory over Real
Madrid in his stronghold , on the eve of their confrontation in the opening
match of Group B Champions League football.
The riyal had last season,
qualified for the semi-finals at the expense of Galatasaray after his victory
in the Santiago Bernabeu with three clean goals, before losing forth in the Ali
Sami Yen Stadium 2-3 then scored Drogba goal by heel.
Drogba said, “Although we left
competitions last season on its hands, but we have achieved a victory in front
of them in our pitch and we hope to repeat this victory because we have enough
power to beat Real Madrid."
The Ivorian striker expressed his
hope that he will continue his career scoring in the Champions League “I scored
40 goals in this competition and I hope to increase scoring.”
He added "The most important
of course is not increasing the number of my goals, but help my team to win. If
you score and we win in the meeting or qualified to the next round, then my
goals will be important. But if they told me that Galatasaray will crown with
Champion League but I do not record any goal I’ll accept this.”
He noted "We have succeeded
before in passing the group stage, and it is not difficult to repeat that
despite the presence of Real Madrid and Juventus in the group, we will give the
best performance in front of our competitors and will qualify for the first
knockout round.”
The group includes along with
