Massimiliano Allegri Biography

Massimiliano Max Allegri is a former football player and current coach of AC Milan , he was born in August 11, 1967. Allegri played as midfielder. He could to achieve with Milan their first Serie A league trophy since 2004. 

Playing career of Massimiliano Allegri:

He spent earlier part of his career in the lower league to join then Pescara in 1991, where he played as midfielder with Giovanni Galeone’s team.  Allegri moved then to Cagliari, Perugia, and Napoli to return back to Pescara. Allegri presented brief spells at Pistoiese and Aglianese before he retired in 2003.
In 2001 he was stopped of playing with other six players for match-fixing following a Coppa Italia tie in 2000 by the Italian Football Federation.

Early life:
Massimiliano Allegri started his coaching career in 2004 with Aglianese club in the Serie C2, and he sacked after the beginning of the 2006-2007 season.

Sassuolo:
Allegri signed with Sassuolo in the Serie C1, where he led them to promote to the Serie C1/A league title.

Cagliari:
Allegri moved then to sign with Cagliari in May 29, 2008, so he started his season with disappointing results which the team lost five games in the league. But the team ended the league in the 9th place. In the next season he was sacked from the team despite finishing the league in the 12th place with 40 points. 

Milan:
On June 25 2010, Allegri signed with Milan to be their new manager, so in his first season he led AC Milan to their first Championship title since 2004 and reached to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and also they eliminated by Tottenham in the knockout stage of the EUFA Champions League.
Allegri succeeded in the next season by winning Supercoppa Italia and reaching tom the semi-final of Coppa Italia but they lost in front of Juventus, and also reaching to the quarter final of the champions league and they lost at the hand s of Barcelona and in the league Allegri led Milan to finish in the 2th place after Juventus.
In January 13, 2012 Allegri agreed to extend his contract to the end of 2014, so he led his team despite the bad results in the first of the season to finish in the 3th place. And they reached to the quarter-final of the champion’s league.
