Michael Laudrup Biography




Michael Laudrup was  born June 15, 1964 in Copenhagen, Denmark, he is a Dane former football player and a current football coach , Laudrup has played with several clubs such as the famous FC Barcelona and Real Madrid and Juventus, he has been chosen by Pele in the list of top 125 player distinct in March 2004. His brother is the player Brian Laudrup.
Michael Laudrup was selected the 1999 best foreign player in the Spanish ball over twenty-five years earlier, and in April 2000 he got a Sam Dannenberg of knighthood from the king of Denmark. In November 2003, he was chosen by dBu golden football player in Denmark as the best player in half a century elapsed within the celebrations of the Union of European Football Associations Golden award, Laudrup has been chosen by dBu football in November 2006 as the best football player Dane throughout the ages.

Michael Laudrup Began his career with the Københavns Boldklub club in 1981, playing with 14 appearances and scored 3 goals, and in the season 1982-1983 Join the club Brondby, playing with it 38 appearances and scored 24 goals, and in 1983 he joined Juventus, Laudrup  has been loaned out in the first two years to Lazio club, playing with them 60 appearances and scored 9 goals, and in 1985 he returned to Juventus and played with them 102 games and scored 16 goals, and in 1989 Laudrup joined the club of Barcelona, and played with them until 1994, and participated during that period in 167 appearances and scored40 goal, and in 1994 he surprised everyone and go to rival FC Barcelona Real Madrid, and played with them for two years, during which participated in 62 games and scored 12 goals.
In the season 1996-1997 Michael Laudrup moved to the Vissel Kobe club, playing with 15 appearances and scored 6 goals, then in 1997-1998 seasons he moved to Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam and play with them 21 games and scored 11 goals, concludes his career.
And has played Michael Laudrup with Denmark soccer World Cup in 1986 and the football World Cup Soccer 1998, has been involved with Denmark football in 104 games and scored 37 goals.

Managerial career of Michael Laudrup:

 
And has become Laudrup Denmark assistant coach for football since 2000 and until 2002, and in 2002 coached Brondby and left them in 2006. 

Getafe:
Laudrup moved after that to Getafe in June 21, 2007, he led them to reach to the final of the Copa del Ray but they lost in front of Valencia and also he led them to reach tom the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup and they also lost in front of Bayern Munich in the extra time, so he stayed there just for one season to resign then in 2008 and lift the team.

Spartak Moscow:
Michael Laudrup signed with Spartak Moscow in September 12, 2008 where he presented very poor results the thing which led to be sacked after 7 months of his signing with the team on April 15, 2009.

RCD Mallorca:
Michael Laudrup signed with RCD Mallorca in July 2010 a contract for two years, so his mission in the first season with Mallorca was keeping it from relegation but in September 27, 2011 he resigned from his duties with the team.

Swansea City:
Michael Laudrup moved finally to become the manager of Swansea City on a contract for two years in June 15, 2012. So he led them to win their first trophy win against Bradford 5-0 in the Capital One Cup at Wembley. And the team finished the League in the 8th place so Laudrup saved the team from relegation.


Personal Life of Michael Laudrup:
Michael Laudrup family is a part of three generations of football players, Where his uncle who was a manager of Aberdeen Ebbe Skovdahl. Michael younger brother is Brain Laudrup who is also a football player.
Michael Laudrup has been married two times. The first wife was Tina Thuno, and he has elder son from her Mads, and the second wife is Siw Laudrup, who has two children from her Andreas, and Rebecca.
Michael Laudrup has also politic trends where he was one of founders of CEPOS which is a Danish classical free market conservative think-tank.
