Scolari: the Win over Spain Will Return to Brazil its Lost Credibility

Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari on the eve of the final of the Confederations Cup soccer on Sunday said the win over the world and Europe champions Spain and will help Brazil regain its lost credibility and respect for their audiences.
The Brazilian team has achieved four consecutive victories over Japan, Mexico, Italy, Uruguay, on his way to the final, which boosted optimism in its ability to build a strong lineup with less than a year to keep the World Cup to be hosted by Brazil.
Scolari believes that landing a rare defeat in Spain in an official match may give confidence to the fans of the Brazilian team.
Scolari said on Saturday "we have passed many of the barriers and the development of the team during the last 30 days  ... It would be wonderful for us to win."
He added "Spain is a great team, but they have weak points and it is possible to defeat them. I Think the most important for us is that the achievement of winning will restore lost a lot of credibility and respect for our fans in Brazil." "And it’s winning on Italy 7-6 on penalties in the semi-finals on Thursday boosted Spain free of her defeats in official matches to 29 games a world record."
The last official loss came to Spain in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, while suffered a surprise defeat 1 - zero against Switzerland in the opening match of the role of the groups.
Scolari said, "Maybe at this moment Spain excel on us. They have almost the same team for five or six years now... won the European Cup twice and the World Cup so they have the advantage."
In response to a question about the message sent out by Brazil beat Spain to the rest of the world with less than a year to keep on the establishment of the World Cup finals in the country Scolari said enthusiastically "a very clear message is that we are on the right track towards the title in 2014."
Scolari led, the Brazilian team for the title of the fifth in the World Cup when they beat Germany in the final in Yokohama on June 30, 2002, and although he said he does not live in the past and knows the dates investigated by the success, but he confirmed that he will be delighted of course to achieve another victory on the same date.
"The past is the past  ... ended. We should live to this day, but it would be nice to win in the history of such an exceptional and most importantly is that I am a believer that we have the players who are able to do so."
